A letter from our new Principal -

Dear Silverwood Elementary Staff, Students and Families,

It is with great enthusiasm that I introduce myself as the newly appointed principal of Silverwood Elementary. I am honored to accept this role and look forward to the opportunity to lead our staff and students in efforts to do whatever it takes to advance the achievement of all students on our campus. I know that this is a challenging time for all, but I look forward to building a partnership in education with each of you.

I am entering my 20th year in education. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership. I have been an elementary and middle school teacher in the Mt.Diablo School District and I’ve served as a vice principal at Ygnacio Valley High School for the previous 7 years.

On a personal note, I am originally from Chicago. I have 3 children. I enjoy reading and cooking in my spare time.

As your Principal, it is my goal to continue to support the great things that are taking place at Silverwood and to provide an atmosphere of openness and collaboration among staff, students and families. It is important to me that our school provides a welcoming environment for all. I look forward to meeting everyone and please feel free to contact me with questions, concerns or ideas.
